This week has been Harmony Week! Sanokil is one of the many businesses, schools, community groups and individuals who joined together to celebrate our great multicultural country.
Harmony Week has been celebrated for over 20 years and includes the UN Internation Day for the Elimination of Discrimination on the 21st of March. Since its inception, more than 90,000 events have taken place across our nation celebrating cultural diversity.
The day aims to endorse “inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.”
This year Sanokil celebrated the day by decorating our head office, hosting an event to celebrate our diverse staff and promoting the message of diversity across our platforms. We are taking the day to promote dignity and respect regardless of ethnicity, gender or religion, pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land and highlight the positive contributions migration and multiculturalism have had on our community. Everybody belongs.
