What is International Women’s Day?
International women’s day is celebrated on the 8th of March every year. It has been held annually since 1910. It is a day to remember the strives forward in women’s rights and to create focus on inequalities that still remain in society today. It aims to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias and prompt people to take action for equality.
This years theme is #EachforEqual in order to emphasises that every individual are responsible for the thoughts and actions that we take. It is aimed at empowering every individual to challenge inequality, stereotypes and work to improve situations. Every individual working together can help bring about an end to gender inequality.

Why is it important?
Although the lat century has seen amazing improvements in gender equality, there are still issues that need to be addressed in Australian society. Whether its the pay gaps, the lack of representation in management and government positions, equal sports coverage or inequality in health, we must work together towards a better future. In other places around the world women still face even greater issues.
How Sanokil Instills its Values
Sanokil is an organisation that is largely run by women. We have people in leadership roles at different levels of the organisation that are both male and female. We work hard to give our staff members equal opportunities with rewards that are based on the value that they bring the company. We wish to promote women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias and prompt people to take action for equality.
